    Gustavo Dudamel will lead the combined forces of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela - joined by the Los Angeles Master Chorale, Los Angeles Children’s Chorus and community choruses - in a performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 8, known as the “Symphony of a Thousand,” at the historic Shrine Auditorium for a spectacular performance with over 1000 musicians and singers. A roster of vocal soloists will also take part.

    The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels will celebrate the month of All Souls with Evening Prayer and a concert featuring "A Requiem of Peace" by Andrew Wright, performed by the Cathedral Choir, Frank Brownstead (conductor), and Samuel Soria (organist). Evening Prayer will begin at 4:00 PM followed by the concert. This event is free and open to the general public. Secure parking is provided at the Cathedral for $5.

    Inaugural JazzPhil-USA Talent Search winners (2005), Mike Bagasao (sax) and Sharmila Guha (voice) will be performing at the 7th Annual talent search, after this year's winners are awarded. $10 suggested donation is tax-deductible.
